The precision grade barrel can be removed by simply loosening two bolts using a standard Torx wrench. Besides reducing maintenance and logistical burdens, this unique design allows for user level caliber interchangeability and serviceability with the MRAD rifle's barrel kits.  The MRAD also boasts Barrett's fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, which is user accessible. The thumb-operated safety can be configured for left or right hand operation. The ambidextrous magazine release can be used intuitively while retaining a firing grip and cheek weld.  Integrated into the MRAD rifle's 7000 series aluminum upper receiver is a 21.75 inch M1913 rail with 30 MOA taper. The forward receiver is drilled and tapped for accessory rails to be mounted at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions.  The MRAD stock is foldable for enhanced portability yet locks in as solid as a fixed-stock rifle, creating a rigid platform for consistent firing. During transport the stock folds and locks onto the bolt handle maintaining the same rifle width whether folded or extended.  Made of a temperature-resistant polymer, the adjustable cheek piece also offers a consistent rifle-to-user contact point. The Steyr AUG/A3 SA Rifle is a gas-operated semi automatic sporting rifle with a changeable barrel and a picatinny rail (Mil. Std. 1913 rail) which allows quick attachment of various optic devices.  The AUG is famous for its modular concept, which allows it to be quickly disassembled into 6 main component groups (barrel group, receiver group, bolt group, stock group, trigger group, magazine group), without requiring the use of tools.  The 16 inch chrome-lined barrel is designed for high reliability, has a foldable grip, and can quickly be changed without the use of tools.  The gas regulator can be adjusted to allow the AUG to function under adverse conditions, such as cold weather or when it is dirty.  The AUG has a fixed locking bolt with seven locking lugs.  An optional bolt is available to convert from right hand to left hand ejection.  The Steyr has a black, synthetic, bullpup style stock and uses synthetic, detachable, staggered box type magazines.  Magazines are available in 30rd and 42rd capacities.

The Mag Tactical Systems Generation 4 stripped lower receiver is approximately 35% lighter than an aluminum lower receiver, yet is still constructed of a metal alloy.  No plastic, carbon fiber or polymers are used in its construction.  The lower receiver is produced from a proprietary magnesium alloy and is created using a patented process.  A proprietary coating process allows the magnesium alloy to have excellent corrosion characteristics.  These lower receivers have reinforced hammer and trigger pin holes as well as reinforced pivot pin holes which gives more bearing surface and better overall strength.  The lower receiver is manufactured with an integral trigger guard and uses standard AR-15 parts and components.  It weighs approximately 5.8 ounces which is about 3 ounces less than most aluminum lower receivers. 

The third picture in our advertisement shows a milspec upper receiver mounted on the lower receiver.  The upper receiver is NOT included with the purchase of the lower receiver.  This picture is only for reference to show the color match between the lower receiver and a standard mil-spec upper receiver.

The HHS I Holographic Hybrid Sight is an Eotech EXPS3-4 combined with the G33 magnifier offering quick transition from 1X to 3X and (4) dot ballistic reticle for precise accuracy out to 600m.  This unit is night vision compatible.

For the infantryman, target ranges vary in ever-changing battlefield conditions.  The HHS provides a solution for engaging threats in CQB situations, then quickly transitioning to a 500m targeting or surveillance situation, and then quickly back to a 25m room clearing exercise.  Instant transition is achieved through a quick Switch-to Side (STS) mount that offers a simple, quick disconnect feature to remove the magnifier and base. This durable, night vision compatible system offers wide field optical performance with superior light transmission for visibility in extreme low light conditions.  The EXPS3-4 is configured with a new ballistic matching reticle image for the M4 carbine.  The battle tested circle/dot reticle will be offered along with a series of 1 MOA aiming dots that are vertically aligned and calibrated specifically for the ballistic drop of .223 caliber ammunition. The reticle provides 4 aiming dots for target distances of 0-300m, 400m, 500m, and 600m.

The Geissele Super Modular Rail MK4 (SMR) was designed as an ultra light weight rail system for the M4 Carbine and all mil-spec AR-15 variants.  The SMR MK4 was designed to meet design specifications for a good M4 weapon rail with an emphasis on weight reduction.  The SMR MK4 is machined from a semi-billet extrusion made from aircraft grade aluminum.  A semi billet extrusion is designed with extensive machining stock for 3D features that are machined directly into the rail so that the rail is one integral piece.  Use of aircraft grade aluminum and high strength steels in the SMR MK4 give the entire assembly an excellent strength and performance to weight ratio.  Each SMR MK4 comes with a precisely machined, 2-1/4" long barrel nut, that is machined from aircraft grade aluminum and hardcoat anodized for a durable surface.  The SMR MK4 is a rigid interface for weapon accessories due to its precisely machined proprietary barrel nut and secure rail interface and clamping arrangement.  Instead of four sharp and jagged M1913 rails spaced at 90 degree intervals the SMR MK4 only has a M1913 rail at the 12 o’clock position while at 9, 3 and 6 o’clock the M1913 rail is abbreviated and is only present on the muzzle end. The remainder of the side and bottom positions have a flat structure that feels better in the hand than the sharp and jagged M1913 rail sections.  There is a QD mount at both the receiver and muzzle ends that accepts an industry standard QD swivel.  An accessory 45 deg QD mount can be purchased so a sling can be secured at an upper 45 deg position if so desired.

The SLR (Slim, Light Rail) was designed as a slimmer handguard that can accept most aftermarket piston systems.  This rail is 5/8" slimmer than YHM's current series of handguards.  The new profile of the SLR allows for most piston systems to be used while maintaining a top rail that co-witnesses with the upper receiver.  The top rail has been redesigned to create one continuous picatinny rail between the upper receiver and the handguard.  This rail can also accept the customizable rails that YHM currently offers.  Rail can be mounted with out any special tools required.
